Raydin lost yet another tooth....

Just a short entry...on Sunday Raydin informed me he had another loose tooth. (He lost his third a couple weeks ago.) At dinner we were eating pizza and he began to cry because he realized he had lost his tooth when he took a bite and didn't know where it had gone. We thought he had eaten it but it had just fallen onto the floor. If he keeps this up he will have no teeth and the tooth fair will be out of money. ( Gotta love the eyeball glasses on his forehead, lovely gift from Halloween)

Halloween....

We had a great halloween, we missed trick or treating with our friends the Broschinsky's ( hope they get better soon!!!). We went trick or treating just on one street in our neighborhood and got a lot of candy and we were gone for an hour. Jason and I dressed up along with the kids, for me it made it extra fun. After trick or treating we went to a party hosted by one of Kate's friends. It was a lot of fun, they took our pictures, we ate yummy taco soup, had some yummy desserts and appetizers and met some great new people. Thanks Kate for inviting us!! We had a great time, and made some fun memories. Jayde really enjoyed it this year and kept asking if we could go to another house. Oakley just held out her hand for candy but would say trick or treat if asked too. Raydin was so excited he ran so fast he always had to wait for his sisters. We hope everyone had a great and safe Halloween!!!

Oakley's 2nd Birthday....

We had a great time celebrating Oakley's 2nd birthday. It was fun to watch her open presents and say "wow" with each one. Every time I wanted to take a picture of her with a gift she would drop it and say cheese, it was very cute and entertaining. I can't believe it was two years ago already that she came into our family. We love her very much and are so happy to have her be a part of our family.

So my sister had her baby on Sunday the 18th of October. It's a boy and he weighed in at 8lbs. 10 oz. and 20 " long. We are so thrilled for her and Colby. His name is Trindon Thomas. He is such a cutie, and we were able to drive to Logan on Sunday to see the three of them. Congrats LaChelle and Colby and welcome baby Trindon!!!

Tee Ball has come and gone....

Raydin had a great time playing tee-ball this year and we LOVED watching him play. He did really well and had some great hits. Here are a few pics from the season. He was a great sport and loved every minute of it. I love to sit with Jason and watch our kids do things, it's great! LIfe is great and we are blessed with three wonderful children. It was a chore sometimes to try and watch the game and watch Jayde and Oakley at the same time. Jason had ball games also and sometimes the two overlapped. We are so glad that you enjoyed playing so much and proud of the great job you did. You always did your best and that's what matters!!!

My sister's Baby Shower....

My mom, sisters-in-law and I were able to throw my sister, LaChelle, a baby shower. She is due on October 19th and is expecting a little boy. Just thought I would share some pics of the event which I thought turned out great. We painted onesies and bibs and had a dessert bar and of course visited with family and friends. I know she will be a great mother and I am happy for her and Colby. We can't wait until he (Trindon) arrives!!! The slideshow wouldn't download into the same post so they are two seperate ones...eventualy I will figure out that bug.

TEE- BALL

Radyin started tee-ball this fall and is enjoying it! He is on the Cincinatti Reds!!! He is doing great. This is his first time playing. He got to hit twice at his first game and hit the ball on the first try and 2nd up to bat hit it on the 4th try. He says that he loves it and is so glad that he tried it out. He is sometimes shy at trying new things. We are proud of him for trying and being brave. He plays twice a week for the month of September. I am so glad we get to watch him grow and make so many accomplishments. It is fun to watch our children grow. I am so glad I got married and was blessed to have children. I would sure be missing out on a lot of wonderful things if I hadn't. I will post a picture of him in his shirt and hat later, I haven't got a picture of him in it yet....

My Birthday....

Okay, so I know my birthday was in August, so the post is a little late, but I am catching up on all we have missed over the summer. I had a wonderful birthday with friends and family making it a special one. We had dinner and cake and ice cream at our house. Thanks to everyone for pitching in on dinner and to Curtis and DeAnn for bringing the yummy chocolate cake. And of course I can't forget to mention that my husband saved money for a long while and drove all over the valley to buy me a keyboard, since the store didn't hold the one he requested for him. It was a sweet gift and I love it!!! Now I can return the one I have been borrowing. I have wanted on of these for years. It was the perfect gift. My mom took me shopping! I had a great time with her, and of course kudos to my DAD for watching my three munchkins while Jason was at work. Thanks again to all my family and friends for a great birthday.

Summer is over and school is in session....

Okay so it has been a long while since I have blogged, I just find it hard to find the time to sit down and do this. Raydin has been in school now for a month. He started on the 28th of July. He is in 1st grade this year and he LOVES it. He likes his teacher and made new friends the first day. He loves other kids and makes friends easily. He loves everyone and wants them to be happy. First grade has been an adjustment for us though. Kindergarten was in the afternoon, so no school until 12:30 and now school starts at 8:25 in the am. I get home from work at 5am and wake up two and a half hours later to get him up and going. Let's just say it has been rough. Last week he started to walk by himself to school and home. It is nice for me not to have to drag the girls out or wake them up if they are still asleep. I don't like taking him to school it always seems a rush, but I miss going to pick him up. It was fun to have him run out to me with a big grin on his face. He wants to walk "all by himself" though so I will respect that since the school is three blocks from our apt. Out neighbor girl is in his class and so sometimes they walk together. He has homework every night along with reading for 20 minutes 5 days a week. He is an excelllent reader and I am amazed each day at how much he improves. He is so smart and we are so proud of him. He is a good student and loves having cold lunch except on Wednesdays when they have pizza. That is the only day he likes "hot" lunch.

funny things the kids say....

The kids have been watching the swimming pool here at the apartments and have noticed the cover is not on it and the water is gone. To this Jayde replied, " The swimming pool melted"
I thought that was cute and wanted to share and also write it down somewhere for keeps.

Real Salt Lake Soccer Game....

On saturday I attended a meeting to commence the beginning of the new soccer season for the youth program here. I am coaching Raydin's soccer team again this spring. They told us there was a free Real game that day with a events for the kids. So Jason and I and the kids headed out to a soccer game, we didn't last long. One, I was too tired and the kids I guess were bored and Oakley....well lets just say don't go anywhere when it is nap time. It was nice though to get out for a couple hours in the warm sunshine and just be together. We are excited for the nice weather and to get out of the house.

Raydin receives award....

This past Tuesday Jason and I were able to go to Raydin's school and watch him receive the Principal's Pride Award. His teacher, Ms. Nelson, nominated him for this award for the great improvement he has made in handwriting. I wish I would have taken a picture of the example of his handwriting at the beginning of the year compared to now, let's just say WOW!! Jason and I were shocked to see it. But his teacher says she often uses his composition book as an example for the rest of the children. Raydin has done very well in school and continues to soar, his teacher says. We are proud of him and the accomplishments he is making. Recently we had our 2nd parent teacher conference and she commented on how well behaved he is and that he has great self control. He chooses not to join some of the others in pushing or shoving. I was so glad to hear that although I knew he didn't have a problem since she has never had to call us about behavior issues. Raydin loves school!!! He loves to learn and loves his teacher and classmates and is always including others. He often takes an extra toy for someone to play with at recess. One particular day his teacher asked him if he could help another student feel welcome and he said yes. When he went to school next he remembered and brought a special toy for that child. Raydin has a sweet and sensitive heart. We hope he can continue to enjoy learning.

8 Years....

On Monday, Jason and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. It was a great day. We didn't go and stay somewhere overnight or a special dinner without the kids, we cleaned the house together as a family. After we finished cleaning we went and got Cafe Rio for us and a 5.00 pizza for the kids. We were all in heaven!! After we put the kids to bed, we watched a movie. and just relaxed and went to bed at 10:00. That is way early for us, especially me. Even though it might not be a dream way to celebrate it was better than any trip, or fancy restaurant. Thanks Jason for a wonderful 8 years, some times have been tough, but I am so glad we have eachother to lean on to get through them. Love you!!

A Package in the mail.....

Jayde, Oakley and Raydin (with two diffrent colored socks, silly boy!!) with their Valentine's!!

Raydin, Jayde and Oakley with the package before opening it.

So on Tuesday we were walking home from picking Raydin up from school and I checked the mail and saw this slip that said we had a package waiting for us in the office. Wondering what in the world it could be I walked to the office and picked it up. It was a package from my parents for Valentine's Day!! My parents are the sweetest people, always thinking of their children and grandchildren. The kids loved the package!!! It sure made our day. My mom always seems to get socks for the kids, sometimes plain colors or some have themes ( like Raydin's) and of course some Valentine treats. The socks are always a hit at our house. Thanks mom and dad for the fun Valentine surprise. It sure made our day even brighter. We love receiving unexpected mail!!! Hope you all have a great Valentine's Day on Saturday.

Jayde's 3rd Birthday!!!

I can't believe she is three!! Where does the time go??? We are so blessed to have Jayde in our home. She is full of life. She loves to play with her dolls, loves Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. We celebrated her birthday at her Grandma and Grandpa Griffiths' home in Wellsville. She chose a princess cake, and it was super easy to make. I thought it would be kind of hard but it turned out great. Nerds add a very nice touch. We shared the day with Alix and Jasmine as they went through the Logan temple that day. It was a great day to spend with family to celebrate two wonderous occasions. We love you Jayde and are so glad our Heavenly Father sent you to our home. Happy Birthday!!!!

Christmas 2008

Making Christmas Memories.....

We had a wonderful Christmas and spent Christmas Eve with Jason's family and then drove to my parents after opening up presents. The snow was horrible so we didnt' get to spend as much time with family as we would have liked due to having to get back for our jobs. We had a wonderful Christmas this year as we always have. I love Christmas and the magic that you can feel, which is the love of our Savior. I am so grateful to have a knowledge of him and am so grateful for all that he has blessed me and my family with this year.
